A journey through time that combines modernity, spring water and technology!
Follow the footsteps of your ancestors who worked for many years in the iron and steel industry, allowing us today to have an industrial type of decoration as well as in our everyday vehicles.
This experience brings together the past and the present and the handiwork and technology at our fingertips. You won't need your pickaxe and helmet to get to the Bel-Val water source, but you will climb aboard the bus and put on your VR goggles to immerse yourself in its era of industrialization up to the 1970s. You will be totally immersed in the beginning of the 20th century (in 1908) where the history of the old Bel-Val water source will be told to you. It was considered a "medicinal water" for a long time and had fallen into oblivion as it was known as "the most pleasant of medicinal table waters". For this reason, it was awarded numerous international prizes. Pierchen, your virtual coachman, will be happy to tell you more stories ;-)

The tour starts near the Hall de la Massenoire at the bus stop. The vehicle will then take you to the Lycée Bel-Val car park, the starting point of the tour to the old spring at Belval. After a jump in time, passing by the Boulevard de la Recherche, the Boulevard des Lumières and the Porte de France, the tour will end at the Terrasse des Hauts-fourneaux opposite the Rockhal.
About the project :
The city of Belval is the setting for a new form of "time travel" using virtual reality (VR). Supported by the Directorate-General for Tourism, this time travel allows visitors to go back in time and trace the history of the old Bel-Val water source and the history of industrialisation.
